Frequently Asked Questions

Does NDIS cover diabetes education?
Yes. Diabetes education can be funded under NDIS Improved Daily Living or Improved Health and Wellbeing supports. Our diabetes educator helps NDIS participants with blood glucose monitoring, meal planning, and lifestyle management at our Truganina clinic.
Do I need a referral for diabetes education?
For Medicare-funded sessions, you need a GP referral under a Chronic Disease Management Plan. NDIS participants can self-refer directly. Private patients can also book without a referral.
